A Controversial View on Quiet Quitting
OK, the votes are in and many, many of you (in line with the statistics) are quiet quitting at work.
Your main reasons are:
No longer aligned to your original career
Job no longer matches the lifestyle you want
Burnt out and exhausted so can't face the workload
But another area I’ve been discussing with you is:
What if I can get my work done in less than the arbitrary 40 hours a week I’m required to work?
You may be quiet quitting because you can do your job quite easily, and you know if you speak up, you’ll be rewarded with… more work.
So why can’t you just do what you need to do, then be done?
Here’s why:
Guilt
No idea what to do with free time
You think no one else is quiet quitting (untrue)
