How To Get Out Of Survival Mode
Somewhere along the way, you picked up the belief:
“If I slow down, I’ll fall behind.”
“If I’m not doing everything, I’m letting someone down.”
But what if that’s not true?
What if rushing isn’t the badge of honour you thought it was?
What I see in so many of my clients (especially the ones who look like they have it all together) is this:
Urgency isn’t a choice anymore, it is their default.
Guilt kicks in the second they try to pause.
And “getting through the week” feels like survival, not life.
Here’s what I want you to know:
Slowing down isn’t lazy.
Guilt isn’t the truth, it’s just a feeling.
You can stop rushing without falling behind.
Try this exercise:
✔️ Take 3 deep breaths before your next task.
✔️ Ask yourself: “What matters most to me today?”
✔️ Practice one tiny moment of slowness – even just 15 seconds.
Repeat it until your nervous system believes it 💕
