Why You Find It Hard To Follow Through
There are really only two elements to planning:
Writing your to-do list, colour coding your calendar, working on a fresh spread in your planner (ooh, I love this bit)
and:
Waking up and actually following through on everything you’ve planned.
Usually, #1 is easy, exciting, and full of hope. But that second option is where we struggle.
Why is it so hard to actually follow through? I think we know the answer:
Your phone is constantly lighting up with notifications, and once you've seen one, you can't concentrate on the task you were doing.
You’ve planned a 10-minute walk in the morning, but the guilt of your work inbox makes you feel like you can’t afford the time.
You have to lie to your physio appointment again that you’ve been doing your rehab stretches while they fix your lower back for the third time this year.
School calls again for a mere headache your child has, and you think, “No, I don't want to pick them up; I just want to stay working.”

"When we first connected, I was just getting through 18 months of parenting and working full time. I struggled to make time for myself and felt I was doing OK at my job or parenting. During our first consultation, I could already feel a shift, and I was like, well, maybe we can do more of these shifts…
The biggest change I've seen in myself is my mind shifting on what productivity really means. I'm finding time and space for myself and things that I enjoy, and I've become more present in time with my family. It has been so comforting to talk to another parent who shared your experience.
The coaching experience has been a total game changer." - Mary Jane.
This is exactly what you need to create a work/life balance as a working mum.
