Planning Your Ideal Day

I was coaching a client recently and asked her what her ideal day would look like.

She said:

  • A bit of time to herself in the morning

  • To be able to concentrate on her work

  • To spend time with her kids building towers or painting and feel present

  • A bit of time to read in the afternoon

  • Just to not feel rushed for one day

Read that list again.

Is she asking for too much?

We know she’s not.

Instead everything was very out of balance for her. She was pressing on week after week, thinking she’d eventually sort it out, but she never did.

In one coaching session, we made a plan to:

  • Ask her partner to get up with the kids so she could have 10 mins to herself (her kids often woke up in her bed)

  • Time block her work and her time with her kids (she downloaded the Forest app I recommend to help her not get sucked into scrolling on her phone during these times)

  • Create a 30 minute “ok TV” block for her kiddos so she could read in the backyard with a hot tea in the afternoon #bliss

  • Do the Plan Your Week workshop so she didn’t have to feel rushed every day

I hope this list inspires you to make a small change in your day if you're feeling overwhelmed too.

Which of her pain points can you most relate to and what change could you make this week?

PS: This is a concept I share inside The Balanced Mum Method.

There will be a launch sale on the weekend of 14/15 October, so if you’ve been wanting to go through The Balanced Mum Method at its most affordable price, make sure you sign up for my emails so you hear about it that weekend!
