Do You Have Tall Poppy Syndrome?

In Australia, we have a concept – “tall poppy syndrome.”

It’s quite an ingrained cultural thing and basically means… if someone is getting too tall / starting to brag / too successful, we have to cut them down.

Nice right?!

The syndrome leads to people hesitating to share successes, downplaying achievements… and combine that with being a woman, and hello, it’s me.

The problem is – as your coach – I want to show you what’s possible and I am the number one example of that.

So today (deep breath), I’m going to share what coaching has done for me:

  1. Allowed me to work in 3 different roles currently (4 roles at one point) without losing it

  2. Helped me ask for part-time hours (I only work until 3.15 each day unless I have a pre-arranged client call) and earn a higher salary doing it

  3. Trained me to work out 4 times a week minimum without any drama about doing it

  4. Helped me be OK with spending $80 on my nails each month without guilt because I feel GREAT when my nails are done

  5. Do all of this alongside doing 90% of the parenting for V

Did that give you the ick or do you feel inspired?

Seriously, as an Australian, I gotta know. DM me on Instagram the word ’inspired’ or ‘ick’ so I know how you feel.

Have a great week!

And if you missed out on a 1:1 coaching spot, you can grab a Power Hour with me here. We can chat through your specific schedule and find you the time I was looking for too all those years ago when I started coaching!
